Where to stay on Kangaroo Island: Accommodation Guide

In the meantime, these places do a great job of surrounding guests in luxury while enjoying the nature, food, wine, and other attractions on Kangaroo Island. Down at the western end of the island options are a little more scarce, but in Vivonne Bay you can find Wild Retreat. It sleeps 6 but you can have ocean views and the whole place to yourself. Vivonne Bay on the south coast is an obvious choice, but Snelling Beach and Emu Bay on the north are pretty nice too.

The cottage is located in Brownlow which is on the outskirts of Kingscote. This is a convenient place as you will have easy access to the shops and restaurants. The main road is nearby so you can easily drive to the main attractions on the ideal.
Almost everything was burned in the 2020 fire, the animals that are there today are the survivors, nature is growing back and the refuge is rebuilding their structures. I recommend this sanctuary, which seriously preserves the lives of its guests. We thank you for the time spent together and the beautiful and exciting experience. One of the largest council campgrounds on the island, Stokes Bay Campground has over 25 spaces for caravans and campers. There is no shower, and there are only unpowered sites available. It can be a very popular spot, so get there early in the day to secure your spot. The camping ground is next to the Rock Pool café, which is open from October to May.

Hamilton is a fabulously renovated 1960s colourful beach house with a private jetty and boat ramp, seafront lawn and a sundeck with barbecue. Step out of the ordinary and into Sky House to enjoy sweeping views of Kangaroo Island’s rugged coastlines and pristine beaches for as far as the eye can see. Visitors on Trip Advisor say the cottages are great places for families and friends to relax and unwind with cosy bedrooms, a kitchen and even board games stashed away in the lounge room. The house is located in Penneshaw, only a few minutes drive from the ferry terminal. This is particularly convenient but you will need to drive to reach all the sites on the island.
