Our STEM curriculum nurtures confident mathematical thinkers through hands-on, inquiry-based projects. Children explore topics like bees, coding BE-BOTS, and recycling with local council support. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements. Our evidence-based Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR) program is designed to develop fundamental skills that help support children’s self-regulation, memory, and concentration.
There are always big smiles, full tummies and lots of news at the end of the day. We actively encourage children’s independence by inviting them to choose between indoor and outdoor learning environments. This breaks down to $135 per day for babies, $132 per day for toddlers and $131 per day for kindergarten. Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. Our Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teachers deliver a Government-approved Kindergarten program, preparing children for school. We have regular music and movement programs, sports incursions, and special events like woodworking and cultural dancing to enrich children’s learning.

Throughout my career, I’ve held various roles, including Inclusion Support, Assistant Educator, Lead Educator, Sustainability Leader, Educational Leader, Assistant Centre Manager, and now Centre Manager. My passion for early education stems from the opportunity to be creative, make a meaningful impact, and build strong community relationships. Children completing their three or four-year-old funded kindergarten program in Long Day Care will receive a subsidised childcare amount. This subsidy will be deducted from their fees in weekly installments throughout the year. Little Stars Early Learning & Kindergarten Pakenham is operated by Little Stars Pakenham Pty Ltd ATF Little Stars Pakenham Trust, which contributes 0% to the total available child care capacity in Victoria. Little Stars Early Learning & Kindergarten Pakenham provides centre-based care for up to 100 approved spaces. Through these guiding principles, we aim to create a rich, supportive environment where every child can thrive.
Ontario stands out as the only province requiring municipal involvement in child care. The province funds 47 service system managers—Consolidated Municipal Service Managers (CMSMs) and District Social Services Administration Boards (DSSABs)—tasked with service planning and funding allocation. For Reconciliation Week, the 4-year-old kinder children were engaged in numerous activities related to Aboriginal culture in line with Reconciliation Week 2024. They painted gumtree leaves, created dot paintings of the alphabet, read books on Aboriginal culture, and participated in play dough activities. They were excited to learn  about unique Aboriginal colors and their meanings, providing a fantastic opportunity to educate our children about our culture.

This breaks down to $138 per day for babies, $110 per day for toddlers and $123 per day for kindergarten. Single-location providers often bring a focused approach, directing all resources and attention to one facility. However, larger providers typically have access to more robust resources, such as enhanced training programs, advanced facilities, and structured curriculums.
We provide childcare and early education for children from six weeks to five years of age. Educators at FiRST Early Learning thrive on the empowerment of children and early education. In contrast, unlicensed child care providers operate with minimal oversight. They are not required to meet most provincial standards and do not undergo regular inspections. However, the Ministry of Education investigates complaints against unlicensed providers suspected of legal violations. A long-standing license reflects the preschool’s ability to meet regulatory requirements and maintain compliance over decades.

Art, music, and imaginative play help children navigate complex feelings and experiences, contributing to emotional intelligence and self-regulation. The Toddler Room encourages independence, confidence, and social development in a warm, engaging space. Daily activities include storytelling, music, and outdoor play to build language and motor skills. We partner with families to support milestones such as toilet training, ensuring a consistent approach at home and in the centre. We offer an exceptional 3 and 4 year old kindergarten program 5 days per week, led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. Children attend the kindergarten program for 5 hours each day and are able to access extended care hours before and after each session within the Early Learning Centre.
