In our six-week rotational menu, your children’s meals contain food from the five food groups recommended by the Australian Dietary Guidelines. Our numeracy kindergarten programs give our children the opportunity to solve problems and make sense of time, numbers, patterns and shapes. We have five fabulous outdoor yards for the children to explore all year round. As two of our yards are undercover this provided us the flexibility to play outdoors no matter what the Melbourne weather brings. At Astra Early Learning Narre Warren South, we are proud to offer a Bush Kinder program for our kindergarten children. We follow strict national quality standards to ensure the highest level of care and education.
Our experienced educators collaborate with families and specialists to design inclusive plans, using strategies such as visual aids, hands-on learning, and a focus on building trust and belonging. We aim to create an environment where every child feels safe, supported, and empowered to participate fully. Children develop a strong sense of identity as they feel safe, secure and supported, building confidence, resilience and a positive sense of self. Through group activities, conversations and play, children learn to interact with others with care, empathy and respect, building positive relationships and friendships. I am a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about fostering a love of learning through play-based, child-led experiences. I firmly believe that play is the most effective way for young children to learn, as it allows them to explore the world, develop language and problem-solving skills, and build confidence in their own abilities.

Families can hire a nanny a few days a week, arrange after-school care, or book a babysitter for casual and last-minute support. We have strong partnerships with local schools, including regular visits to Amberly Park Primary School and Narre Warren South P–12 College to support school readiness. Our program also includes engaging incursions like library visits, water safety splash programs, and interactions with community groups, helping children build real-world connections. With nearly two decades of experience in the early childhood industry, I bring extensive knowledge and practical expertise to my role.

We see parents as co-educators — and our practice reflects that every day. One of the most misunderstood things about quality early childhood education is where the real learning happens. It is not only during planned activities or structured group time — it happens in the in-between moments. In the way an educator responds when a child gets frustrated with a puzzle. In the unhurried afternoon when a toddler spends twenty minutes absorbed  in moving water from one container to another. These are the moments that build neural pathways, develop executive function, and lay the cognitive and emotional foundations for a lifetime of learning.
