The 2025 Festival theme FREE TO BE is a celebration of the strides toward true LGBTQIA+ equality while also acting as a global reminder that our fight is far from over,  and that we are not truly free until we are all free to be.

The Sydney WorldPride Human Rights Conference will also take place. A First Nations Rainbow gathering space at the Carriage Works will occur as well as a discussion Queer Thinking Panel. Stand out from the crowd anywhere anytime with this fabulous Rainbow Suitmeister.

Contrasting dramatically with that first-ever protest march, the parade now includes representatives of the police force, fire-fighters and emergency services staff and groups of Australian Defence Force personnel in uniform. Fireworks lit up the air as pre-parade celebrations kicked off with Dykes on Bikes Sydney, Boys on Bikes and Melbourne Motorcycles Tourers taking pride of place. Wearing a shimmering gold dress, pop singer Minogue made a surprise appearance during the event alongside Courtney Act and a group of drag queens dressed as the singer.
